Ritchie Bros. returning to Indianapolis, IN to conduct multi-million dollar heavy equipment auction next week

World’s largest industrial auctioneer to sell late model construction and transportation equipment in September 10 auction
                                   
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (August 30, 2010) – Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE and TSX: RBA), the world’s largest industrial auctioneer, is conducting another unreserved auction in Indianapolis, IN on September 10, 2010. The Company conducted its first unreserved auction in the city in 2007. The multi-million dollar auction, which is open to the public, will be held at a site located at 2515 West Thompson Road. It will feature more than 650 equipment items, including late model Caterpillar equipment and several late model International 9400 truck tractors. Bids can be made in person at the auction site, online in real time at www.rbauction.com, or by proxy.

Auctioneers. “Indianapolis is a very busy hub for both the construction and transportation industries and there’s a lot of opportunity at the auction for buyers and sellers to manage their equipment. Next week’s auction will feature something for everyone. As with every Ritchie Bros. auction, our Indianapolis auction is open to the public and every item will be sold unreserved to the highest bidders—regardless of price—with no minimum bids or reserve prices.” 

More than 50 equipment owners will be selling their equipment in the September 10 Indianapolis auction, including Team Contracting LLC. The Sellersburg, Indiana-based contractor has consigned more than 160 equipment items in the auction as part of a complete dispersal. The equipment they are selling includes wheel loaders, loader backhoes, articulated dump trucks, hydraulic excavators and more.

More than 650 construction and transportation items will be sold to the highest bidders on auction day, without minimum bids or reserve prices, including:

  • 2008 Caterpillar 12M VHP Plus motor grader
  • 2007 Caterpillar 140H motor grader
  • 2008 Caterpillar D6N XL crawler tractor
  • 2008 Caterpillar 950H wheel loader
  • Two 2008 Caterpillar 420EIT 4x4 loader backhoes
  • Water, utility, van, flatbed, water, fuel & lube trucks
  • Triple-axle truck tractors and a variety of trailers
